For this duality, contradictory at first sight, we unite. We combine visionary thinking with responsible action. We have learned one thing from countless projects: Implementing solutions in this way, or something similar, does not ensure long-term success. For future-oriented solutions, a resilient and flexible model is needed, which is then realized in small and implementable steps.

In doing so, we combine the requirements set with an and – not an or. In this way, we always find the perfect and superior solution that is resilient and sustainably convincing. This involves a lot of creativity, sometimes pragmatism and a high level of mutual trust – but this is important to us and this is what makes our solutions special! For our customers, this means: When designing solutions, we focus on your requirements.

It all started about 30 years ago, when the current managing director Peter Kiess, together with two fellow students, between their studies and their work as farmers on their own farm, had the great idea to develop software for the areas of access management, time management and visitor administration. They want to stand out from the rest and develop vendor-independent solutions. Soon the decision is clear: this was only the beginning! In 1999 Peter Kiess founded gis – Gesellschaft für integrierte Informationssysteme mbH. They take their first steps in the Notes world and quickly become successful with their idea. The first visitor management system (based on Lotus Notes) was in use for about 20 years, among others at a major banking institution. In 2009 the next big step in the gis history follows: The product platform is designed .secure (web-based). The module-based management platform gradually replaces Notes applications – many well-known corporations are convinced by the web-based solution for access management, time management and visitor administration.

Now follows a new – innovative step in gis history: since 2020 the first MicroServices (e.g. #FotoApp, #LegiApp) are in productive use. Another beginning of a great ninth gis story. Before the end of this year, all relevant processes will be available as stand-alone MicroServices.
