The Legitimation Service enables the identification of persons via their own terminal devices. In accordance with operational requirements, our legitimation service can be optimally integrated into your processes. The individual legitimation steps are clearly presented to users so that legitimation can be carried out intuitively. By taking a photo of the ID document, the information about the person is read out. By matching the ID photo with a selfie of the user, a comparison takes place. For verification purposes, the legitimation can be supplemented by a subsequent video chat procedure if desired. Once the identity has been verified by the app and the legitimation process has been completed, the information about the successful legitimation is available for follow-up processes, such as onboarding, change of job, change of name in case of marriage, etc.

Start of the legitimation process – the person to be legitimated receives a link, logs in or registers, receives an overview of the required steps and starts the process.
Using the smartphone’s camera, the user takes a photo of the ID document. The information is read out and displayed by OCR process. After confirming the information, the next step starts.

The identity of the person to be legitimized is confirmed. The information about the successful legitimation is passed on to the connected systems – so further processes can be started automatically.
